This brooch measures approximately 37 x 15 mm and is set with eight round rose cut almandite garnets measuring approximately 2 mm and four pear shaped rose cut almandite garnets measuring approximately 4 x 2.5 mm. There are also three round seed pearls each measuring approximately 2 mm in diameter. This piece appears to have been created circa 1880's. The brooch weighs 1.1 grams and has a good finish. All gem materials were graded while mounted to the extent the setting permists examination. |
